Privacy Policy

Overview

Caprock Custom Applications ("Caprock," "we," "us," or "our") operates caprockapps.com (the "Site"). This policy explains what information the Site collects, how it's used, and your choices. We do not sell personal information, and analytics cookies are only set if you accept them via the cookie banner.

Information We Collect

The Site itself does not include any contact or intake forms. We collect information only in these limited ways:

  • Scheduling a consultation. The "Schedule a Free Consultation" links on this Site go to Calendly, a third-party scheduling service. When you book a call, Calendly collects the information you provide (such as your name and email address) directly, subject to Calendly's own privacy policy. We receive the booking details you submit through that process.
  • Direct communication. If you email or call us directly, we retain that correspondence to respond to you and, where relevant, to scope and deliver a project.
  • Theme preference. If you use the light/dark mode toggle, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage on your device so the Site remembers it on your next visit. This value never leaves your browser and is not transmitted to us.
  • Analytics, if you accept. See "Cookies & Analytics" below.

Cookies & Analytics

When you first visit the Site, a banner asks whether you'll allow analytics cookies. Nothing analytics-related loads or runs before you respond:

  • If you decline (or don't respond), no analytics cookies are set and no analytics script runs. Your visit is not measured. We still store your choice (in local storage) so we don't ask again every page.
  • If you accept, we load Google Analytics (GA4), which sets cookies and collects standard usage data — pages visited, referring site, approximate location (from IP), device/browser type, and time on page. This helps us understand how visitors use the Site. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses data from sites that use its services.

You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer of this Site, which re-opens the consent banner.

Third-Party Services

The Site loads a small number of third-party resources needed for the pages to function and display correctly, or that you've opted into:

  • Google Fonts. Web fonts are loaded from Google's servers, which may receive your IP address as part of that request. See Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Google Analytics. Loaded only if you accept the cookie banner, as described above.
  • Calendly. Used for scheduling, as described above. See Calendly's Privacy Policy.
  • Social media links. Links to our LinkedIn, Facebook, and X (Twitter) profiles take you to those platforms, which have their own privacy practices.

We do not control, and are not responsible for, the privacy practices of these third-party services.

How We Use Information

Information we receive through a Calendly booking or direct correspondence is used only to respond to your inquiry, schedule and conduct a consultation, and — if you engage us — to scope, build, and support your software project. Analytics data (if you accept) is used only in aggregate to understand Site usage and improve it. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Data for Client Projects

This policy covers the caprockapps.com marketing website only. The Site itself never collects, stores, or transmits Protected Health Information (PHI) — there are no forms, and the only third-party integration is Calendly for scheduling. This policy does not cover software applications we build for clients (for example, custom EHR systems), which are governed by the terms of the applicable client engagement, Business Associate Agreement, or other project-specific agreement.

Your Choices

You can accept or decline analytics cookies via the banner shown on your first visit, and change that choice at any time using "Cookie Preferences" in the footer. You can also clear your theme preference by clearing your browser's local storage for this Site. To request that we delete correspondence or booking-related information we hold about you, contact us using the details below.

California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use any data collected through this Site for that purpose. California residents have the right to know what personal information we hold, request its deletion, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To make a request, contact us. Because analytics only runs if you accept the cookie banner, you can also avoid analytics collection entirely by declining or by later opting out via "Cookie Preferences" in the footer.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the limited information this Site collects. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security incident affecting personal information we hold, we will notify affected individuals and any applicable authorities as required by law.

Children's Privacy

The Site is intended for business audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
